(Re)discover the Joy of Fundraising
Fundraising. Development. Institutional Advancement.
Regardless of what you or your organization call “it,” the role of philanthropy in any nonprofit is one of the most important and high stakes areas. While fundraising used to be a career that many people stumbled into - me included - the fundraising profession is now firmly established … with certifications, specialized areas, identified skill sets and entire schools of philanthropy built around it. With the growth of the profession, the number of consultants has also grown. You likely have an array of options from which to choose.
So, why me?
My value proposition is simple. I genuinely enjoy both the art and science of fundraising. And, over a career spanning 15 years working in nonprofits of varying sizes, I’ve amassed a variety of invaluable skills that make me an expert in my field. Beyond my passion for fundraising, I sincerely enjoy helping nonprofits make an impact in communities that have long been overlooked - communities filled with people who look like me. All those factors combine for a fundraising consultant that is decidedly different than who and what you’re used to.
Don’t Take My Word For It …
“For a truly warm and welcoming introduction to key fundraising tenets, call on Chavon Carroll! She compassionately connected to our equity work, linked our development strategy to proven practices, and coached us through our first two major asks successfully. She made our struggle to navigate our first development activities culminate in celebration with clear and practical guidance.
